Coach's Corner

You all had different reasons for getting into Wushu and now we are all sailing the same boat. Yet as you trained and grew your reasons may have changed. For me the reason for training in Wushu has changed over the years. I wanted to learn to protect myself. I wanted to learn the cool movements I saw in the movies. I wanted to be a champion, I wanted to experience Chinese culture, I wanted to prolong my life, I am now a teacher. Wushu has become a big part of my life. Wushu is also my passport and has taken me around the world.

Those of you who persist through the sometimes difficult, sometimes repetitive, sometimes boring workouts will experience a transformation of your body and your mind. Wushu can also be your escape from the outside, sometimes repetitive, sometimes difficult, sometimes boring world. We all want to fly, we all need insurance, we all want to live healthy long lives. You are all in Wushu for whatever reasons. But now you have found that the Wushu is in you. : Now let us take that journey.
